American Traveler is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Cath Lab TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 06/26/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, daysEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Days, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Jun 26, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a cardiac cath lab position requiring proficiency in interventional and diagnostic procedures including PCI, structural heart interventions, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.DetailsAcute care hospital cardiac catheterization lab setting supporting both diagnostic and interventional proceduresPatient population includes adults referred with cardiovascular diagnoses such as coronary artery disease (stable and unstable angina, NSTEMI, STEMI), heart failure, valvular disease, congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, pericardial disease, and pre-operative cardiac evaluation1:1 patient ratioProcedures include PCI (balloon angioplasty and stent placement), left and right heart catheterization, IABP placement/removal, PFO/ASD closure, CTO, cardiogenic shock management, and Impella insertionPreferred procedures include TAVI/TAVR, rotablader atherectomy, Impella insertion, cardiac implant closure devices, and upper/lower extremity angiographyMajor equipment includes Impella, Penumbra, EKOS, Roto, Ultrasound, Shockwave, ACIST, and the GE Mac Lab systemMedications administered include antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, procedural sedation agents, and reversal agentsEpic EMR; Pyxis for medication management5x8 day shifts, Monday–Friday, 6:45 AM–3:15 PM, with occasional late days approximately 4–5 times per month (rarely past 5:00 PM)On-call requirement of one day per week and every fifth weekendFloating within the facility may be required as neededRequirementsMinimum of 2 years of relevant cath lab experience requiredExperience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings requiredCurrent BLS and ACLS requiredProficiency in 12-lead EKG interpretation, dysrhythmia management, ACT monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, and sheath removalIV therapy skills including blood product administration, IV infusion pumps, and starting IVsFirst-time travelers will be considered for this positionLicense required if applicableTwo professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration (pending at time of submission is acceptable)Additional Information16-hour unit orientation provided upon start; weekly orientation scheduleApproximately 8–10 hours of pre-start online modules required; modules must be completed prior to start and annuallyScrubs providedCandidates must be available for a manager interview prior to offerCandidates who previously worked at this health system as permanent, PRN, or employed staff must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler; facility rehire approval is requiredLocal candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility qualify at a different rateUp to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved as long as it does not fall on a holiday; additional RTO requires facility approval; no RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientationCandidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidaysTravel pairs are allowed but must have their own transportation and be comfortable with potentially different schedulesAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-710514.
