We believe that when we take care of our people and our customers, success follows.JOB SUMMARYWe are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Fiber Splicer / Field Operations Technician to join our nationwide team. This full-time, travel-based role is critical to the deployment and maintenance of high-performance fiber optic networks across the country.The ideal candidate will have practical, in-the-field experience with fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting, and be comfortable working independently in dynamic environments.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, splice, and test single-mode and multi-mode fiber optic cables and connectorsPerform OTDR, power meter, and light source testing for end-to-end validationInterpret fiber optic schematics, splice plans, and network diagramsConduct troubleshooting and resolve technical issues efficiently in the fieldComplete preventative maintenance and report potential infrastructure issuesMaintain thorough and accurate documentation of all work performedCollaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams to support deploymentsManage and maintain inventory of fiber optic tools, test gear, and consumablesFollow all safety protocols and adhere to company and industry quality standardsREQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferredProven field experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testingStrong understanding of OTDRs, power meters, fusion splicers, and related equipmentExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailEffective communication skills (both verbal and written)Valid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionFlexible schedule - must be able to work evenings, weekends, or on-call as neededComfortable with extensive nationwide travel (3-4 weeks at a time)WHAT WE OFFER Competitive payPaid travel and per diemOpportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding telecom companyA supportive team that values quality, safety, and professionalism HOW TO APPLY If you're passionate about fiber optics, thrive in the field, and are ready to travel and grow with a company that values your work, we want to hear from you.
