JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for processing the daily functions of the bank in a team environmentResponsibilities include processing time sensitive tasks and reviewing reports, documents, and other processes to mitigate losses and remain compliant. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experienceExperience: 1-3 Years of experience at a financial institution or relevant experienceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSBalance In-Process GL Accounts to ApplicationsResearch Transactions and OutagesStop PaymentsCOD, DDA, FMS, Savings, and Safe Deposit Box Non-PostsCharge backs on returned deposit itemsReview ATM Deposits from Main & EugeneReview System Reports DailyProcess incoming and outgoing wire transfersLog 'Hold' notices as receivedProcess overdrawn accountsProcess Garnishments and other Legal ProcessesPrint COD checks and mailProcess incoming and outgoing ACH files, including verifying external transfersMonitor correspondent bank balances and transactionsReview weekly closed accounts for DDA, Savings, and CODsProcess closed accounts Send IRA Fed/State Withholding paymentsPrepare assigned certificationsSupervise financial institution's records retention and disposal programPrepare Quarterly/yearly taxesBecome knowledgeable of bank compliance rules and adhere to Bank, Federal and State policies, procedures and banking regulations relating to this positionAll other duties as assigned to meet client and operational needsSKILLS:Broad understanding of bank operations and proceduresAbility to manage multiple demands and prioritiesKnowledge of Money Laundering Control Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control regulations, strategies and enforcement policies, familiarity with key banking regulations Working knowledge of bank laws and operations, risk assessment and analysisAbility to prioritize and organize work-load with limited supervisory interventionAbility to communicate orally in an effective manner and respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies and outside consultants.Ability to handle stressCompetency in Microsoft Office Products including Excel Ability to communicate with co-workers with tact and diplomacy and a positive attitudeAbility to work with others in a cooperative manner that supports a team environmentAbility to work full-time hours as scheduledRELATIONSHIPSResponsible to the Operation Support Manager for the fulfillment of functions and responsibilitiesThe Operations Specialist interfaces with the Compliance Department, external auditors, examiners, and all operational departments.
