We welcome new members to join and grow along with our team!Summary:The QC Clerk will provide support to the Produce team in maintaining high quality standards for fresh produce items by inspecting all inbound and outbound orders, identifying, documenting and reporting any quality issues that arise. This position will also be responsible for helping to ensure quality by conducting random audits of stored inventory and reporting any issues to the Produce manager and/or supervisors for follow up actions.Responsibilities:Perform visual and physical inspections of inbound produce to identify quality issues; document findings with notes and photos at time of receipt. Report issues to the QC Specialist or Receiving Manager.Inspect the internal quality of select fruit (when applicable) by cutting samples; document and report any defects.Conduct visual and physical inspections of outbound produce for quality and return validation; document findings with notes and photos and report issues to the QC Specialist or Shipping Manager.Verify outbound pallets against pick tickets to ensure product accuracy; report discrepancies to Shipping Management.Monitor food safety and proper handling practices during order staging and loading; report any concerns to QC or Shipping Management.Inspect stored inventory for quality issues and communicate findings to the QC Specialist for follow-up action.Ensure proper inventory rotation is followed; report mis-rotated or aging product to Shipping Management.Review pallet tags and receiving dates across warehouse inventory; identify and report over-aged or slow-moving products.Assist with data entry related to store returns, product tracking, photo documentation, and maintenance of QC records and training materials.Support warehouse cleanliness and safety by keeping floors clear of debris (e.g., broken pallets, shrink wrap, plastic ties).Sort, inspect, and document returned products from stores; photograph issues and separate items designated for vendor return or credit.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, quality control, or produce/food handling preferredExperience working with fresh produce or other perishable goods strongly preferredBasic knowledge of food safety standards, including sanitation, proper handling, and inventory rotation practicesStrong ability to identify and assess produce quality, including spoilage, damage, discoloration, and temperature concernsHighly detail-oriented with the ability to accurately document and report findingsProficient computer skills, including data entry, email, and photo documentationAbility to read and verify pick tickets, inventory labels, and product informationStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and cross-functionally with receiving, shipping, and retail store teamsTeam-oriented with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to support overall warehouse operationsEager to learn, with an interest in developing product knowledge and understanding produce quality standardsDemonstrated interest in growth and long-term development within the companyReliable attendance and ability to perform in a fast-paced warehouse environmentAvailable to work on weekends, holidays or rotating schedules.Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Physical Requirements:This job may require standing or walking for extended periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing repetitive motions.This job may require frequent bending, twisting, stretching, kneeling, and squattingThis job may require working in refrigerated environments and tolerating a loud, fast-paced warehouse settingWorking Conditions:This job is performed in an environment that may have exposure to cold, noise, and other environmental factors.Position Details:Employment Type: Full TimeLocation: 6336 Regio Ave, Buena Park, CA 90620Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM or 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; Saturday, 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM (short shift as needed based on business volume)Available to work on weekends and holidays as necessary.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings Plan with 4% Company MatchLong-Term Service AwardEmployee DiscountPaid Time OffCompensation:The pay range for this job starts at $25.00 an hour.
