Test Engineer I Location: Lafayette, CORate: Up to $35/hrWe are seeking a Test Engineer I to support software and systems verification & validation activities for innovative medical device technologies.Must Have:BS/BA in Engineering or Computer Science1–2+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 0+ years with a Master's degreeKnowledge of AAMI, ISO, FDA and EN standards or experience in a regulated environmentUnderstanding of software development, debugging and testingExperience using AI tools to improve test scripting, code analysis, requirement reviews, documentation or reportingStrong communication and teamwork skillsPreferred Experience:Software/application testing and test automationMedical device testing and FDA Quality System Regulations (QSR)GUI, integration and stress testingPython, C++, JavaScript, SQL, XML, LinuxSelenium, Cypress or similar automation toolsGitHub Copilot, Cursor or other AI-assisted development toolsAgile/iterative development and CI practicesStatistical methods and machine shop experienceWhat You'll Do:Develop and execute software/system verification and validation activitiesDesign and implement testing methods and equipmentDevelop and debug test scripts and automationAnalyze test results and identify required changesSupport testing procedures, documentation and reportingCollaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issuesThis is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in medical device testing, software verification, automation and AI-assisted engineering.
