Manufacturing Operator 2
Your role:
The Manufacturing Operator 2 at MilliporeSigma in Bellefonte PA will:
Prepare, pack and process products used in assigned work area
Follow written instructions per MPS/SOP/ISO guidelines
Engage in product manufacturing across various areas
Monitor processes and identify opportunities for improvement
Design and conduct simple experiments to enhance yield, product quality, and develop new product
Assist R&D in manufacturing of new products
Package and label all products according to instructions
Test products in assigned work area
Prepare samples for quality control upon request
Completes in-process inspections
Maintains QC experimental records
Operate and maintain all necessary lab equipment
Responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment
Maintain raw material inventory and request supplies as needed
Perform maintenance and cleaning of the work area and lab equipment
Physical Requirements:
Vision and hearing within normal limits
Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
May require repetitive hand and arm movements, as well as standing or sitting for extended periods
Handle chemicals safely while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Manually dexterous for various tasks
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, lift, and climb ladders.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication and organizational skills
1+ years with automated manufacturing equipment and in an industrial setting
High attention to detail
Proficient with computers
Ability to work independently
Capable of writing legibly
Basic math skills
Prior experience operating/maintaining labeling, packaging, and lab equipment (e.g., balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, glove boxes)
Pay Range for this position: $24.00 - $38.00.
The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
