Potential work locations – Sacramento, CAExpected Duration: 6 monthsPosition: Industrial Process & Manufacturing EngineersNumber of Positions: TwoWorking schedule: Mon-Fri(5 days / week)Overview:Seeking highly skilled Industrial/Manufacturing Engineers with strong experience in Rail manufacturing. The ideal candidates will possess robust industrial engineering capabilities, hands‑on expertise in welding and tooling optimization, and the ability to create and govern high‑quality process documentation. These engineers will play a critical role in improving productivity, optimizing processes, ensuring documentation excellence, and strengthening problem‑solving maturity across the manufacturing line.Educational Requirements Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Field English (read, written, spoken) Desired Knowledge / Experience Minimum 8-10 years experience in Manufacturing background in the railway industry. Experience on Rolling stock manufacturing (preferred). Technical expertise in MIG/TIG welding, distortion/deformation control, and stainless‑steel fabrication. Strong industrial process engineering skills, including: MTM (Method‑Time Measurement) Time studies Line balancing Proven ability to analyze, optimize, and validate jigs, fixtures, and tooling. Strong competency in Work Instruction writing and documentation governance. Knowledge of: PFMEA Root cause analysis 8D/PDCA structured problem solving Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics. Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (Creo, Windchill, Teamcenter, DELMIA…) Lean Manufacturing certification (preferred). Green Belt or equivalent certification in structured problem solving (preferred).
