This role will provide onsite/ on-call assistance to end-users within the organisation’s desktop computing environment in a timely and accurate fashion to ensure optimal service delivery. Overview: We’re seeking a skilled Smart Hand Support Technician to manage the installation, decommissioning, and troubleshooting of Meraki network devices at our HQ. This hands-on role involves working with network hardware, power systems, and cabling, ensuring the smooth operation of network devices across our infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Decommissioning & Installation: Remove old Meraki devices and install new hardware in the company, connecting it to the data center network. Vendor Coordination & Access: Manage vendor access to the Company for upgrades, maintenance, and installations. Hardware Management: Add, replace, and troubleshoot Meraki devices, Ethernet cables, fiber cables, and power supplies. Perform regular inspections and physical checks on the company’s hardware. Troubleshooting & Support: Resolve issues requiring physical intervention, including restarts for security cameras and badge readers. Support during planned and unplanned power outages. Inventory & Logistics: Oversee inventory of Meraki devices at HQ and manage dispatch to remote locations. Test Lab Readiness: Ensure the test lab environment is ready for device testing and troubleshooting. Qualifications Required: Experience with Meraki devices and network hardware (Ethernet, fiber optics). Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform on-site hardware repairs. Familiarity with power systems and maintaining secure work areas (Company and IDF). Preferred: Meraki or networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+). Experience with security systems (badge readers, cameras). Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces (Company and IDF).
