Director of Operations – Oil & Gas Construction - Lafayette ParishOnsite leadership role with travel (app 10–12 overnights p/month) across multiple statesCompany vehicle or vehicle allowance provided$200-260k + BonusGrowing industrial construction organization is seeking a senior operational leader to oversee a large-scale Oil & Gas/Pipeline division supporting pipeline, midstream, facilities, integrity, maintenance, and power generation projects across multiple states.What You'll Be DoingOversee operations across pipeline, midstream, and power generation construction projectsLead multiple departments including Project Management, Estimating, Cost Controls, Scheduling, Safety, and HydrotestManage approximately 12 active projects simultaneously across varying phases and durationsReview bid opportunities and determine operational fit, staffing capacity, scheduling, and profitabilityPartner closely with sales teams regarding upcoming work and project pipeline planningDrive accountability, communication, and execution across teamsEnsure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with client expectationsReallocate personnel and resources to keep projects progressing efficientlyMaintain and grow client relationships across active and future projectsLead operational meetings and coordinate communication between leadership, field teams, and clientsMonitor metrics tied to budgets, deliverables, timelines, safety, and operational performanceMentor senior managers and help scale operational structure as the company continues to growWhat They're Looking For10–15+ years of experience within Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Midstream ConstructionProven experience leading operations at a Director, VP, Division Manager, or senior operational leadership levelStrong understanding of:Pipeline constructionMidstream operationsProject management oversightEstimating and cost controlsScheduling and resource planningClient-facing operationsExperience managing multiple departments and large operational teamsAbility to operate in a fast-moving environment with constantly shifting prioritiesHands-on leadership style with strong communication and accountabilityMust be comfortable working closely with field operations and executive leadershipPreferred ExperiencePrimavera P6Microsoft ProjectProcoreBluebeamNavisworksAdditional DetailsOnsite leadership role with travel across multiple statesCompany vehicle or vehicle allowance providedHigh-visibility role with long-term growth potential
