PsyD. Postdoctoral Resident
Job description Keplity Health is seeking pre-licensed, PsyD. postdoctoral residents who are passionate about working with children and teens. This position will focus on psychological assessments and/or therapy for children and teens . This is a paid full-time or part-time opportunity in Leesburg, VA with onsite and remote work components.
Responsibilities(under supervision) Conduct intake assessments and prepare test and/ or therapy plans with new patients
Administer screening and diagnostic instruments
Conduct psychological Assessments for cognitive abilities (IQ/Gifted Testing), emotional, and social challenges. Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, behavioral and academic challenges
Work collaboratively with psychologists, dietitians, psychiatrists and other providers to optimize patient near-term and long-term outcomes
Recommend IEP Planning and School Accommodations (elementary, secondary and post-secondary standardized exams such as the SAT and GRE)
Conduct tailored psychological therapy
Work with and educate parents on effective in-home strategies
Maintain CEUs and other required documentation
Stay current: Keep up with the latest research and best practices in child psychology
Qualifications Passion for helping children with a variety of challenges including anxiety, trauma, learning disorders/disabilities, ADHD, ASD, OCD, behavioral challenges, and social difficulties
Experience providing psychotherapy and assessments to children and teens
PsyD. or PhD. in clinical psychology from an accredited university
