1st Shift Forklift Operator

As an Production Forklift Operator you are responsible for assuring that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. You are expected to operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.Responsibilities (Include But Are Not Limited To)Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipmentTransport raw materials, resin and supplies to production workstations Verify packaging labels are correct with the Work Order posted at the Operator stand and label finished products palletsPlace finished goods to proper staging aisle in the warehouseVisually inspect forklifts for damages or hydraulic leaks, verify horn is in good working condition and the backup audible alarm is working before the start of every shift Drain material from machine hoppers, weigh box and return to materials areaWeigh and scale finished product pallets, materials, resins that are being returned to warehouseComply with company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practicesHelp maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilitiesReports to shift supervisorRequirementsBilingual (English & Spanish) is a plusAttention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipmentExperience operating a sit down forkliftMust be able to pass our forklift training certification (driving and written)Must be able to identify materialMust be 18 years of age or olderMust have your own reliable transportationMust be authorized to work in the United StatesMust be flexible and able to work extended shifts and/or weekendsScheduleMonday - Friday, (May have to work extended hours and/or weekends as needed)1st Shift Hours 6:45am to 3:15pmPhysical DemandsThe description below is intended to describe the general content and requirements for the performance of this job but is not limited to:While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
