Data Engineer up to $300,000Remote but must be based in the USAI’m working with a fast-growing commercial data business to hire a Data Engineer who has built data products that external clients actually pay for.This is the key requirement. They are not looking for a conventional pipeline engineer, BI developer or data scientist.They need someone who has taken proprietary data and made it commercially usable: packaged, licensed, delivered and supported as a product for external customers.You’ll be building the foundations of a market-data platform, including:Entitlements, usage metering, billing and licence-compliance reportingAPI-first delivery for external consumers, including authentication, versioning, rate limits and stable identifiersClient onboarding and integration supportPublished data-quality metrics: coverage, gaps, staleness and anomaliesClear provenance and point-in-time integrity for institutional usersThe underlying data estate is exceptional: proprietary freight, commodities and energy pricing, with decades of history, active paying users and a credible route to becoming benchmark-grade market infrastructure.Python, SQL and Azure experience are important.
