Cal Builders, Inc is a general contractor based in Sacramento specializing in tenant improvements for dental, optical, and veterinarian offices. We seek to provide quality service to our clients. Our service area encompasses all of Sacramento valley and into the bay area.Our team is looking for a construction administrator or assistant project manager with experience and/or knowledge of the construction field and processes. The admin will work on managing all documents of the construction process and assisting with invoicing, submittals, and project closeouts.If you are communicative, a self-starter and a problem solver, and have experience in this field, we would like to meet you.LIST OF JOB DUTIESReview Bid Documents and Send out Requests for Proposals to SubcontractorsUpdate Bid Templates with Information from Bid Documents and Subcontractor ProposalsCollect and Communicate RFIs to Owners and Designers regarding Plans and SpecificationsCollect Information to Draft Subcontracts and ContractsCollect pre-construction documents, such as Pre-lien Information and Insurance CertificatesSend Submittal Requests to Subcontractors and Vendors for Owner/Designer ApprovalsReview Submittal documents against plans and specs for compliancePrepare Submittal Packets for self-performed work for Owner/Designer ApprovalsTrack Material Ordering and Lead times after Submittal ApprovalsFile Construction Documents in Digital Drive and BindersCollect and File Documents from Subcontractors Including Insurance, Pre-lien Notices, Change Orders, Submittals, and InvoicesDraft Progress Billing and Final Billing Packets for Construction ProjectsComplete and Send Project Closeout Documents including Warranties and O & MsTrack Project Status against Construction Schedule and Provide Updates as NeededOpen Job Folders and Update with Relevant DocumentsRespond to Project Team Emails and Phone CallsCoordinate Design with Architect and Engineer and ensure plans comply with scopeCombine and prepare plan sets for Plan Check SubmittalsComplete documents required for plan check submittal per Jurisdiction guidelinesFile Pre-Lien Docs and Waiver Release Forms for Landlord DocumentsComplete Lender Package Requirements for Owners Prior to starting ProjectsRead Plans and Specifications in Order to Answer Questions from Subcontractors and the Field TeamHIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLSComprehension of Commercial Construction Processes and DocumentsComprehension of dental office TI work and related codesSalary Range:-- the compensation will be offered based off of experience and will be negotiated at the time of the job offer is extendedJob Type: Full-Time, 8-Hour Shift, Monday-FridayOur company is an equal opportunity employer and adheres to the protections provided by federal, state, or local laws to all employees and applicants.
