Clinical Assistant (CMA/LPN) - Primary Care with Obstetrics-Full Time

Full-timeThis is a 0.8 FTE position working in Family Practice with an Obstetrics provider. The schedule is generally Monday-Friday, 7:40 a.m.-There are currently no evening, weekend, or holiday requirements; Croix Falls and Lindstrom, with occasional travel to community clinics as needed. The Clinician Technician (CMA/LPN) is responsible for planning and managing patient care according to patient need. Responsibilities also include rooming and interviewing patients, recording medical history and physical condition information including taking and recording patient vital signs.Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of provider and following SCH policies and processes.Cleans medical equipment or instrumentsRecord patient medical historiesPrepare medical supplies or equipment for useCollect specimens from patients and prepare for testingDocument patient phone calls and follow-up data in EMR~ Maintain medical facility records~ Explain medical procedures or test results to patients and/or family members~2.5 Follow-up regarding patient plans, lab letters and other documents in a timely and accurate manner~2.6 Process other requests, including medication prior authorizationsComplies with department and facility standards.Understand Clinic Policies and ProceduresPerform work according to organization policies and proceduresMaintain inventory of medical supplies or equipmentOrder medical supplies or equipment* Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant Certification• Prior clinic experience preferred• Previous experience with Epic or Excellian software desiredFlexible and willing to fill different roles as needed• Strong customer service skillsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer• Croix Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
