Plumbing Estimator Assistant
DescriptionSuperior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted provider of commercial trade services, supporting new construction, tenant improvements, and a wide range of service projects. We are currently seeking a Plumbing Estimator Assistant to support the estimating team in preparing service estimates under the guidance of department management.The ideal candidate will have understanding of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and applicable codes, along with experience contributing to accurate and competitive estimates for service work. In this role, you will assist in developing project estimates and change orders for a variety of commercial service projects.ScheduleSunday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.ResponsibilitiesInterpret and review blueprints, project schematics and/or specifications to determine material and labor requirementsPrepare and submit plumbing proposals within the scope of commercial projects under the direction of managementReference pricing quotes from internal departments, suppliers and subcontractorsProcess a high volume of data entry to maintain and update estimating software and databasesLearn and apply new industry trends, materials, and best practices into estimatesAssist with processing commercial estimates for the maintenance departmentWill be assigned additional clerical duties as needed to support the departmentRequirementsMinimum of one year of recent experience in estimating commercial plumbing projects or similar industryProficient knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, materials, and installation methodsKnowledge of local and national plumbing codes and regulations desiredProficient utilizing estimating software and Microsoft Office SuiteProficient alpha-numeric data entry with the ability to type a minimum of 40 WPMAbout the CompanySuperior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
