Overview As a Controls Engineer, you will help design, implement, and optimize data center control systems that ensure high availability and energy efficiency. You will work within the Data Center Systems team to standardize controls practices across the EMEA region and deliver scalable, secure, automated solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex control challenges and drive improvements that impact customer experience and operating costs. Compensation / Benefitsmentorship & career growthinclusive culturework-life balance and flexibilityopportunity to work on innovative, global projects ResponsibilitiesDeep knowledge of critical infrastructure and control concepts (BMS/EPMS, one-line diagrams, HVAC, electrical layouts)Lead cross-team collaboration across construction, operation, commissioning, software, and sourcing to deliver for customersDiagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions and modify software across multiple languagesProvide QA/QC oversight during hardware installation and commissioningApply knowledge of data center redundancy, energy and water conservation, and data reporting analyticsOperate in high-security environments while maximizing productivityInnovate new solutions aligned with team and company goalsCreate and maintain specification documents for global projectsDevelop and support mechanisms for mechanical and electrical control productsInteract with AWS cloud services to present, archive, and analyze dataTravel 50% or more as needed for project deployments Key requirementsBachelor in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldExperience taking new design concepts through exploration, development, to deployment or mass productionExperience with MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systemsKnowledge of critical data center equipmentAbility to read engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and SOPsKnowledge of building codes and regulations (Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, OSHA)Project management experience in data centers or similar critical infrastructureExperience in Data Center Engineering Operations and understanding of electrical/mechanical data center infrastructureAbility to interpret construction specifications and drawings across all domainsstrong collaboration and leadershipproblem-solving and analytical thinkingeffective communication across cross-functional teamsBMS/EPMS programming conceptscontrol diagrams and industrial HVACelectrical line-ups and one-line diagrams
