HRIS CoordinatorThe HRIS Specialist will support the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department with a strong emphasis on HRIS administration, data integrity, reporting, and system optimization. This role serves as a key liaison between HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Benefits and HRIS leadership to ensure accurate employee data management, system functionality, compliance reporting, and process efficiency.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role operating across multiple HR functions in a lean environment. The ideal candidate is highly systems-oriented, analytical, and comfortable owning HR technology processes while also supporting core HR operations including payroll, recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This is a hands-on, in-office role based in Sanford, FL. This position does not offer remote work or relocation assistance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintains accurate employee data within the HRIS and supports reporting, metrics, and surveys as needed. Collaborates with HRIS leadership to help ensure systems are functioning effectively, assists with updates and data audits, and provides day-to-day support to managers and employees regarding HR system inquiries.
Assists with reviewing payroll inputs for accuracy and compliance, partnering with Payroll as needed to help resolve discrepancies and support timely processing.
Provides support to employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, employee relations, and performance matters.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Contribute to and assist with HR projects focused on onboarding, offboarding, process improvements, and HR operations.
Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
Support office operations and assist with employee engagement initiatives and internal events
Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, creates and delivers training as needed.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; ability to interpret and apply policies.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong HRIS administration experience with advanced system proficiency.
Experience working with UKG Pro Suites (Pro, WFM, Learn, Onboarding, and Recruiting Gateway) required.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to handle in-person employee inquiries, assess issues quickly, and resolve matters independently when appropriate.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
At least 2-3 years of human resource management experience preferred.
SHRM-CP a plus.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
