Bagel Sandwich Maker / Cook

We are looking for a hard-working and friendly a dedicated bagel sandwich makers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and is able to work diligently in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for slicing and toasting bagels, slicing vegetables, as well as preparing bagel sandwiches to specification. If you are comfortable in a customer-facing role that is also a plus. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and menu guidelines. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer orders. (optional) Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices. Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and surfaces. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and addressing their needs promptly. (optional) Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and transactions accurately. (optional) Qualifications Previous experience in food service or quick service bagel or food restaurant preferred. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential. Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to learn new skills are highly valued. Experience with sales techniques is a plus but not required.
