General Manager - Dispensary

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Dispensary to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and lead a high-performing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, retail expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of dispensary regulations. This role requires strategic planning, operational oversight, and the ability to foster a positive environment that promotes growth and compliance within the dispensary setting. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of dispensary operations, including sales, inventory control, purchasing, and staff supervision. Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue goals while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Oversee employee orientation, training & development, and performance evaluations to cultivate a motivated team. Manage payroll, bookkeeping, budgeting, and administrative tasks to ensure operational efficiency. Supervise inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and merchandising activities to optimize store performance. Recruit, interview, and onboard new staff; provide ongoing coaching to enhance team productivity. Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and sales. Ensure adherence to all legal requirements related to dispensary operations and health & safety protocols. Oversee shift management, scheduling, and store opening/closing procedures for smooth daily operations. Utilize organizational skills and retail math expertise for pricing strategies, sales management, and inventory control. Experience Proven management experience in retail or dispensary environments with supervisory responsibilities. Strong background in sales management, customer service, inventory control, and team leadership. Familiarity with POS systems, purchasing processes, bookkeeping, payroll administration, and cash handling. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and conduct interviews confidently. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases. Experience in marketing, merchandising, stock management, and retail math is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership in training & development programs along with organizational skills for efficient store operation. Prior assistant manager or store manager experience in a retail or grocery setting is advantageous.
