Job Description Job Title: CNC MachinistLocation: Gastonia, NCJob Type: Full-TimeJob Overview:The CNC Programmer Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts based on detailed engineering drawings. This role requires expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality production while maintaining safety standards and meeting production schedules.Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to develop CNC programsWrite and edit CNC programs using [ e.g., G-code, Mastercam, etc.]Set up CNC machines, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tooling, and ensuring proper calibrationOperate CNC machinery, including milling machines, lathes, and grinders, to produce precise componentsConduct test runs to ensure the machine is operating as expected and that parts meet required tolerancesPerform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure proper functioningMonitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to optimize production efficiencyTroubleshoot and resolve machining issues, ensuring minimal downtimeInspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standardsMaintain accurate production logs, documentation, and reportsAdhere to all safety protocols, workplace guidelines, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with engineers and other team members to improve machining processes and product qualityQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in CNC machining is preferredProven experience as a CNC Programmer Machinist or in a similar roleProficiency in CNC programming and operationStrong knowledge of machining techniques, tool selection, and material propertiesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsFamiliarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gaugesStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlinesCommitment to maintaining a safe work environment
