HVAC Residential Install
As a Residential HVAC Installer, you'll play a vital role in bringing heating and cooling systems to life. Whether it's a brand-new install or a full replacement, your precision and craftsmanship will keep homes running smoothly year-round.Create a positive customer experience by completing the install correctly the first time with quality and care to applicable codes, to avoid refunds and recallsMentor and develop lead installers and apprentices, under his/her care, into install team lead techniciansMentor team members and apprentices weekly on team's performance metricsInstall HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer's specificationsWire both high and low voltage to heating and cooling equipmentInstall copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazingInstall sheet metal, duct board, and flex duct systems in residential and lite commercial buildingsProperly connect gas lines to heating equipmentComplete all required documentation, including checklist, including recording model, serial numbers, and install date recorded in Service Titan on installs and collect, record and deliver fees to designated office administrationUnderstand when to issue a "Lock Out/Tag Out" tag and the required follow-up stepsFacilitate order for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of serviceRecord all material used or consumed on the job for job costing and replenishingWork with dispatch to reschedule a follow-up appointment with the customer when the work was not completed during the initial appointmentSupport technicians on troubleshooting issues as neededTransport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned toolsKeep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoriedProtect customer's home from damage while working and leave customer's home cleaner than when we arrivedCoordinate with other departments to ensure appropriate job objectives are met effectively and completelyInform a manager if the customer does not have fully functioning HVAC service before leaving the callCommunicate the benefits of Club MembershipsManage to performance metrics scorecardInvestigate any reported safety issuesSupport supervisor and/or manager as a resource who can make decisions on behalf of the company for the install teamReport any safety issues to manager and/or supervisorPerform other duties as assignedRequirementsEPA Certified requiredMust be able to pass drug testing and background checksCompleted some sort of HVAC training and/or trade schoolA minimum of three years' experience preferred but not required with manager's approval in installing diverse HVAC equipmentA valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrierMust be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow throughPossess good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manualsTeam player working in a team environmentExcellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectationsMust be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPSBenefitsWhy You'll Love It Here (Benefits/Total Rewards) Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k)Paid Time Off Short Term Disability Training & Development Opportunities Life Insurance Wellness Resources (Gym & Onsite Barber) Job Type: Full-time Onsite Employee Assistance Program Team Lead Provided Company Vehicle and Fuel Card Health Savings Account
