Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift
Our client is a leader corrugated box company in Denver, who is a 4the generation family owned business. They are looking to expand the maintenance workforce with military talent due to extensive growth.The Maintenance Technician is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment and systems. Veterans with hands-on experience maintaining mission-critical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and working with electrical and mechanical systems will find their skills highly transferable to this role.Key Responsibilities:Diagnostics, Troubleshooting & Repair:Perform diagnostic testing using technical manuals, schematics, and testing equipment-similar to military preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS).Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical failures in mission-critical equipment.Start, operate, and monitor equipment to identify abnormal performance or failure conditions.Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment to restore operational readiness.Electrical & Mechanical Systems:Leverage experience working with:Electrical systems: AC/DC circuits, wiring, conductors, circuit boards, switches, and control systemsMotor systems: Electric motors, DC motors, motor drives, and control circuitsAutomation & controls: PLCs, timers, counters, relays, solenoids, and roboticsMechanical systems: Bearings, gears, conveyors, belt and chain drives, power transmission systemsFluid systems: Hydraulics and pneumatics (common in military vehicles, aircraft, and support equipment)Equipment Installation & Maintenance:Install, relocate, and commission new or existing equipment.Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with established programs (similar to scheduled military maintenance cycles).Calibrate equipment both electronically and mechanically to ensure optimal performance.Fabrication & Field Repairs:Modify or fabricate tools and components to support operational needs.Utilize welding techniques (MIG, stick) and soldering for repairs-skills often developed in military maintenance roles.Documentation & Communication:Record maintenance actions, repairs, and equipment performance (similar to maintenance logs and service records in the military).Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and inventory documentation.Coordinate with equipment manufacturers or vendors for technical support when needed.Inventory & Logistics Support:Maintain accountability of parts, tools, and equipment (aligned with military supply discipline).Conduct cycle counts and notify purchasing for replenishment.Occasionally coordinate or perform parts acquisition runs.Safety, Compliance & Team Support:Follow all safety procedures and regulations, reflecting military safety standards and operational discipline.Maintain clean and organized workspaces (shop housekeeping).Assist with spill containment and environmental safety procedures.Provide cross-shift support and collaborate with team members to ensure mission continuity.
