Your responsibilities include:Providing support to customers interested in and purchasing agricultural equipment by responding to customer and product queriesProspecting for new accounts, fostering current customer relationships, and continuing to grow opportunities with new and existing customers by taking a consultative sales approachGreeting and welcoming customersProviding a great customer experience through your knowledge of Acme Tools’ product offerings, service capabilities, and current programsScheduling appointments to meet with and present products at customers’ work sites or businessesIdentifying customers’ opportunities and making product or service recommendations that will meet customers’ needsPerforming product demonstrations prior to the sale and walking customers through starting procedures and breaking-in periods once product is purchasedAnswering and facilitating incoming calls and Internet leadsEntering and updating sales ordersObtaining freight and shipping quotesRegistering products for warrantyRequesting service work to be performedProcessing financing for new and used equipmentFollowing up after sales with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their purchase and resolving any potential issuesParticipating in store events (physical inventories, sales meetings, trade shows, special sales, etc.)Maintaining a safe and secure work environment by adhering to and striving to improve safety standards and reporting suspicious activityVarious administrative duties (organizing payments, distributing mail, maintaining office supply levels, completing MSOs for products, and other assigned duties)Completing related tasks as assignedA Little More InsightTerritory Sales - Equipment representatives work both in the Acme Equipment – Fargo store and out in the field. 75% of your day will be spent traveling within the local region.This role will be a 70% concentration on agriculture equipment sales while still being able to call on contractors and municipalities in rural areas.You’ll need to operate and maintain a company vehicle and any provided technology resourcesQualificationsSales experienceAbility to cold call customers and be comfortable with rejectionAbility to quickly build new relationships with customersExcellent customer service and communication skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyStrong computer skills and ability to learn new softwareA valid Driver's License with a clean driving recordAbility to work a rotating Saturday shiftEligible to be an Interstate CMV Driver (valid Driver's License, 21+ years old, clean driving record, and able to obtain a med card)Previous agricultural or construction equipment knowledge or experiencePhysical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs.Look at a computer screen for extended periods of timeStand on a hard surface for extended periods of timeFrequently push, pull, squat, bend, sit, kneel and reachAbout Acme ToolsFor over 75 years, Acme Tools has been a trusted source for tools and equipment throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and online by serving contractors, woodworkers, and DIY enthusiasts top-quality tools from the best brands.
