Maintenance AssistantThe main function of the Plant and Maintenance Assistant is to provide assistance in the care of the facility buildings and grounds by performing a variety of skilled and unskilled maintenance and repair duties in assigned maintenance operations, which may include outdoor areas, lighting, facilities, common areas, hallways, and resident rooms.

Your responsibilities:
Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure machinery run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of building is maintained
Assembles, installs or repairs wiring, electrical components, plumbing, etc.
Assists with upkeep of exterior grounds
Sets up meeting areas for meetings and events
Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the Plant & Maintenance Supervisor
Assists families and other visitors as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a maintenance position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred
