Inventory SpecialistLocation: Primary office in Ashburn, VA | Approximately 5% overnight travel | Travel to client offices, construction sites, & event venues and occasional visits or training at manufacturing partner sites.Salary: Compensation – commensurate to skill level and experience | $64,000 – $90,000 / yearSummary — Davis InfrastructureDavis Infrastructure's Inventory Specialist plays a critical role in supporting our Managed Inventory Service for key customers. This position oversees warehouse operations, ensures accurate and efficient handling of inventory, and maintains strong client relationships through reliable service, product knowledge, and operational excellence. The Inventory Specialist supports both internal teams and external partners by managing inventory flow, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a safe, organized, and customer-focused environment.PurposeThe Inventory Specialist (IS) oversees Davis Infrastructure's Managed Inventory Service for key customers. Responsibilities include receiving, logging, labelling, storing, packing, and shipping inventory items, as well as occasional delivery to customer job sites.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage the Inventory Storage Warehouse.Maintain expert-level product knowledge and application.Collaborate with the Operations Team to manage stored inventory and support customer work schedules.Perform basic equipment maintenance (ensure items remain plugged in and charged).Maintain necessary office supplies within the warehouse.Accurately and safely utilize provided technology and tools.Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes.Build and maintain long-term client and partner relationships.Attend customer appreciation events.Required QualificationsProven track record in a customer-facing role emphasizing education, satisfaction, and financial growth.Proven experience in inventory management, shipping, or warehouse operations.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to obtain the following within the first 3 months of employment: OSHA Safety CertificationOSHA Forklift CertificationAmerican Red Cross First Aid/CPR (adult & infant) and AED CertificationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.Proficient in English.High School Diploma or equivalent.Valid U.S. Government–issued identification.Valid Driver License.Reliable transportation.Preferred QualificationsThorough knowledge of basic electrical principles.Proven track record in customer-facing roles emphasizing education, satisfaction, and financial growth.Proven experience in inventory management, shipping, or warehouse operations.Post-secondary certifications in mission-critical field.Clean driving record.MeasurablesClient satisfaction survey resultsContribution to corporate profitabilitySafety recordInventory accuracyKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesStrong time managementHigh attention to detailEffective communication and negotiation skillsAbility to operate forklifts, pallet stackers, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.Ability to climb laddersAbility to lift 100 lbs. unassistedAbility to assemble industrial shelving units
