We deliver 24/7 emergency mitigation, full-scale reconstruction, and planned capital improvements-supported by nationwide reach, vertical integration, and technology-driven transparency that protects our clients' investments and reputations.SUMMARY:The Construction Superintendent is responsible for field-level oversight of safety, quality, and schedule across BlueTeam construction projects. This position serves as the lead onsite authority for execution management and scope coordination, ensuring that all work meets operational standards and client commitments while upholding the company's core values of safety, quality, and professionalism. This role requires up to 75% nationwide travel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Execution OversightMaintain full-time presence onsite during all active work periodsCoordinate daily field activities and subcontractor operations to ensure safety, quality, and schedule alignmentEnforce jobsite protocols, including PPE, access control, housekeeping, and safety perimeter enforcementActively observe construction activities and intervene as needed to correct sequencing, craftsmanship, or crew behaviorMonitor adherence to construction documents, including plans, specifications, scopes of work, and submittalsSafety and Quality LeadershipImplement and enforce site-specific safety plans and hazard controlsServe as the primary safety advocate in the field; identify and escalate unsafe conditionsParticipate in pre-cover and pre-pour inspections and review field work for craftsmanship and complianceEnsure timely resolution of punch list and field-generated deficienciesLead by example through consistent PPE use, clear communication, and orderly work environmentsPlanning and CoordinationAssist in short-interval scheduling, material tracking, and manpower forecastingMaintain accurate and complete daily field reports and inspection logsCollaborate closely with Project Management to align field execution with contract milestones and client expectationsSupport field-driven validation of change events and schedule updatesCoordinate across scopes, teams, and departments to avoid conflicts, downtime, or misalignmentCommunication and Team CultureModel and reinforce BlueTeam's operational and cultural values on siteCommunicate clearly, steadily, and respectfully with project teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and city inspectorsSupport onboarding and mentorship of junior team members and contribute to a strong safety-first cultureAct as the onsite voice of BlueTeam, representing the company professionally to all stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONS:Computer skills including internet, e-mail, (MS Outlook) MS Excel, and MS WordExperience working for a general contractorExtensive knowledge of established construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques, as well as applicable local, State, and Federal building codes and legislationFamiliarity with a wide range of equipment and tools and proficiency in skilled construction, maintenance, and repair tasksStrong communication skillsThorough and attentive to detailsAble to prioritize and multi-taskProactive and deadline-orientedAbility to read and interpret documents in English, such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to travel up to 75% nationwideCertifications a plus.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Preferred ExperiencePrior experience as a superintendent, foreman, or lead technician in commercial constructionExperience in occupied renovations, restoration, healthcare environments, or multifamily rehab strongly preferredDemonstrated track record of maintaining safety, quality, and schedule standards across multiple trade categoriesExperience coordinating subcontractors and managing field documentationRelevant Education (Preferred but not required)Associate degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Building Science, or related technical fieldBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplineCERTIFICATES and LICENSES:RequiredValid Driver's License with clean driving recordPreferred (Desirable but not required)OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety CertificationConstruction Health and Safety Technician (CHST)CM-Lean CertificationFirst Aid/CPR CertificationCompetent Person designation for scaffolding, fall protection, or excavation (as applicable)Certifications validate focused expertise and structured learning but are most meaningful when they translate into tangible, observable impact in the field.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos.
