Job Description AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join the AECOM team in our Pittsburgh, PA or Morgantown, WV office. Entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM's Graduate Development Program (GDP), a program designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and create a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success. Our work includes the design of steel and concrete bridges and other transportation structures, such as walls and sign structures that are critical to our nations transportation network and vital to local communities. These projects include pedestrian, vehicular, light-rail transit, freight rail, and movable bridges. Our Structural Engineers also perform evaluation and design for the rehabilitation of existing bridges. As an Entry-Level Structural Engineer, you will work with multi-discipline project teams in developing a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. Your insights and contributions to our diverse range of projects will play an impactful role in ensuring the successful delivery of our teams projects. This role is expected to start in Spring/Summer 2027 . Performing tasks related to the design, analysis, rehabilitation, and inspection of highway bridges and ancillary transportation structures. Using computer software as a tool for solving engineering problems. Exercising judgment limited to developing work details in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. Preparing engineering related designs, calculations, sketches, visual aids, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Preparing cost estimates and construction schedules under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or other related field. Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software. Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, STAAD, MathCad). Strong technical writing skills. Previous experience with internships. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. The selected candidate must be able to work on-site in Pittsburgh, PA or Morgantown, WV a minimum of two days per week.
