The Alltech® Feed Division is among the leading commercial animal nutrition companies in North America. We employ more than 700 people in the areas of manufacturing, sales, and marketing. We offer a full range of animal nutrition products designed to meet the diverse needs of modern livestock and companion animals, including premixes, feed supplements, block supplements, animal health products and feed ingredients. We are seeking candidates for a full-time position as Quality and Food Safety (QFS) Manager to join our Ridley Block Operations (RBO) division.
Primary responsibilities for this position will be to develop, maintain and implement updates to the Quality and Food Safety program for RBO’s manufacturing and distribution operations, and work in liaison with the North American Corporate Food Safety and Quality department to ensure program alignment with regional and global systems.
Other responsibilities include the following:
Ensuring compliance with food safety certifications and applicable regulations pertaining to the production, sale, identification and usage of animal food and health products.
Conducting internal GMP/food safety audits to ensure compliance with the Quality and Food Safety program and food safety certification(s) the facilities hold.
Identifying deficiencies and, with management direction, ensuring continuous improvement initiatives are achieved.

Technical writing
Public speaking
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Willingness to travel to facilities domestically as required.
Education & Experience
Bachelors degree preferably in the Animal Science field.
3 - 5 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous feed, quality and management experience.
Familiarity with the feed and/or premix industry is highly desirable. Previous experience with HACCP and other quality certifications and experience coordinating and supervising a team are essential.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift/move 25kg/55lb.
20-80% sedentary (desk).
20-80% walking floor (production/warehouse/offices etc.)
