Electrical Engineer

Job Description We have an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer in the Jacksonville, FL area. Base salary is relevant to experience, education and certifications. You are expected to be available for a minimum of 40 hours per week and be able to work fairly independently. Job description: Responsibility - Electrical Design, 35%Perform sketches or mark-up existing drawings as required to communicate design intent.Perform field work, inspecting plant conditions, verifying existing plant conditions, Routing tray, conduit or cable layout new equipment for most efficient use of space and resourcesPreliminary design for installation motors, instruments and controlsPerform engineering calculations as requiredCoordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possibleCheck design work for accuracy and ensure compliance with project requirementsDesign loop sheets, elementaries, system architecture, and other wiring diagrams Responsibility - Project Management 50% / Business Development 15%Establish and maintain positive relationships with clientsLead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.Communicate scope needs to designers or other engineersObtain quotes for engineering, equipment, material, and servicesWrite client's scope documentDevelop bid packages, lead bid meetings and evaluate bidsWrite material requests and contract requisitionsManage procurement and construction activitiesCoordinate project safety, timing, and other issuesLead checkout and startup activitiesControl documents generated during the course of the project.Issue documents to client for permanent storage.Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients as needed.Review project scopes for inclusion of reliability expectations as defined by client.When an opportunity occurs, work with the client to determine the scope.Required: Engineering DegreeEIT (With ability to obtain P.E. within 18 months of employment)Motor ControlsCAD Proficiency480V and 2300V/4160V single lines480V and 2300V/4160V starter elementaries480V VFDsBasic breaker coordinationDetailed power panel schedulesPower plansGrounding system design and grounding plansLighting system design and lighting plansElectrical room layoutsElectrical equipment specificationsIndustrial cable sizing, voltage drop calculations and general cable list developmentPreferred:P.E.Instrument & I/O list developmentInstrument specificationsInstrument loop sheet developmentPLC & DCS connection diagram developmentLight I/O panel design experience Meet Your Recruiter Nick Donofrio
