SAS Developer :

Job TitleUSC/GC/GC-EAD Rate : DOE 12+ month contract with possible hire/extensions. This is a Hybrid position from day one in Newark, NJ (2 days onsite/3 days remote) – MUST BE IN THE TRI STATE AREA – not relocating to the area.The ideal candidate should have at least 7+ years of experience developing and deploying SAS Base, SAS/SQL, SAS Procs and experience developing Tableau dashboards in the insurance and/or Financial Services industry working in an Agile environment is required.Job Requirements:7 years' experience developing and deploying SAS Base, SAS/SQL, SAS Procs7 years' experience developing Tableau dashboardsExperience developing and deploying application code using Hadoop Hive and Impala.Experience developing Linux, UNIX shell scripts.Working knowledge of version control tools and branching techniques using Artifactory, Jenkins, and BitbucketExperience with Autosys workload automationParticipate in data analysis of existing source system data to help identify patterns, aid in data quality and map data to new or existing requirementsProactively identify areas for improvement and introduce innovative recommendations, factoring in customer needs, external approaches, data analytics, as well as industry best practices.Experience developing procedures on relational databasesAdditional Information on Background:Agile experience expected.Leadership skill/ Soft skills: Collaborative, team player.
