Learn more at anthonysylvan.com.About The RoleIn this role, you’ll receive hands-on, on-the-job training while working alongside experienced Pool Technicians to learn the fundamentals of pool cleaning, equipment service, and repair. You’ll assist with pool openings and closings, support equipment upgrades and installations, and gain valuable technical skills in a real-world setting. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn a skilled trade, work outdoors, and build a foundation for a long-term career in pool service and maintenance.General Summary of PositionIn this position you will receive on-the-job training and will be responsible for assisting Pool Technicians on cleaning pools, servicing and repairing pool-related equipment; helping them perform Opening and Closing of pools and upgrading and installing equipment.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesAssist with swimming pool cleanings, water testing, and the removal and installation of pool covers and pool equipmentSupport Service Technicians with basic pool and equipment repairs, including leak detection, plumbing assistance, and equipment servicing or replacementLoad, unload, and organize service vehicles for daily routes; assist with material handling and general vehicle and job-site housekeepingSafely handle and apply pool chemicals, including chlorine, algaecides, pH balancers, and muriatic acid, in accordance with manufacturer and technician instructionsInteract with Service Technicians, scheduling team, and management to support repair and maintenance schedules and promote efficient, quality serviceAnswer basic customer questions regarding pool maintenance, equipment operation, and service recommendations in a helpful and professional mannerLearn and utilize the Work Order platform for accurate and timely service documentation; assist with promoting equipment upgrades and service offerings as directed, with overtime and Saturday work required during peak seasonsOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS – Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesEducationHigh School Diploma/GED preferredLicenses/CertificationsN/AYears Of ExperienceSome technical experience preferred (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool service/repair).Required Skills & AbilitiesMust be a team player with a strong work ethic, excellent computer skills and a positive approach to customer service.Excellent organization skills, quick learner, result oriented, highly detailed, with interpersonal and communication skills are required.Team player with customer focus and self-motivation.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform the essential functions of the role.Travel Requirements90-100%Other RequirementsReliable transportation to and from work required.Ability to operate a motor vehicle preferredFlexibility on schedule required including working outside of a “scheduled shift” as well as evenings, weekends and potentially holidays during peak seasonPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in outdoor environments under varying weather conditionsAbility to lift and carry up to 100 poundsAbility to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawlAbility to operate heavy machinery or tools (with or without assistive devices)Ability to wear required PPE (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, gloves)Ability to communicate promptly and clearly via phone and computerACKNOWLEDGEMENTPosition duties and expectations change over time.
