Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Emotional Support for an elementary school setting in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role focuses on supporting students in a 2nd to 4th grade Emotional Support Classroom and is scheduled from ASAP through June 2, 2026. Responsibilities include: Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the needs of students with emotional support requirements Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborating with classroom teachers and support staff to promote a positive learning environment Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies accordingly Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with parents and stakeholders Qualifications: Full Pennsylvania licensure for Special Education (Instructional I or II) Applicants must either hold the required certification or be able to secure it before the start date Emergency or out-of-state certifications are not accepted Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings, particularly those requiring emotional support Location: Elementary school in Mechanicsburg, PA Contract Duration: Current School Year (CSY), from ASAP through June 2, 2026 Compensation: Hourly pay range of $37.50 to $50, depending on experience and qualifications This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students requiring emotional support within the elementary grades.
