Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Hybrid role: 3 days in-office (Tues - Thurs); 2 days remote (Mon & Fri) Location: Skokie, IL 60077The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the accounts payable function. This role focuses on the accurate and timely processing of invoices, including managing documents sent to the Bill.com inbox, transferring invoices from the AP Inbox to Bill.com, and assisting with AP-related inquiries. The AP Specialist must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Bill.com and invoice coding is strongly preferred.Responsibilities:Review and enter invoices received through the Bill.com inbox with accuracy and timeliness.Monitor the AP Inbox daily, move invoices from the AP Inbox to the Bill.com inbox, and ensure all items are routed appropriately.Assist with triaging and responding to vendor and internal AP inquiries received through the AP Inbox.Verify invoice details and ensure proper coding to the correct general ledger accounts, departments, and programs.Work closely with AP Analyst and departments to resolve discrepancies or missing information.Maintain organized electronic records of invoices and supporting documents.Assist with weekly payment runs and ensure invoices are processed before payment deadlines.Support month-end closing activities by helping ensure all invoices are entered on time.Perform other related duties and administrative support as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma required; associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.One to three years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.Experience with Bill.com is a strong plus.Familiarity with invoice processing and basic accounting principles.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.High attention to detail and accuracy.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).Benefits:FREE Virtual Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Mental Health Counseling for ALL EmployeesPAID Maternity/Paternity leaveMedical Insurance (BCBS of IL)Dental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceLong-Term & Short-Term DisabilityPet InsuranceFSA (Health, Dependent Care, Transit)TelemedicineEAP403(b) Retirement Plan with Employer MatchEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
