Our portfolio of brands includes Oldcastle APG, Oldcastle Infrastructure, Belgard® hardscape, Echelon® Masonry, RDI® railing, Catalyst™ Fence Solutions, Sakrete® packaged concrete, Amerimix® mortar, Pebble Technology International® pool finishes, and Techniseal® sands and sealant technologies.Job SummaryThe Quality Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of ensuring quality in Growing Media and Mulch products at the plant-level, including, but not limited to formulation oversight and testing; incoming raw material inspection, testing, and approval; ensuring that all established specifications and processes are followed.Job ResponsibilitiesOversight and testing of product formulationsInspection, testing, and approval of incoming raw materialsFollow all established specifications and processesInvestigate and resolve Customer quality complaintsPrepare and submit all required reports to Oldcastle or applicable agencyProvide/produce and prepare samples for sales as neededWork with Regional Quality Manager and Site Manager to ensure all information is documented daily and correctlyComplete hourly Required Volume checks on All production lines on the retail side of the business assuring better control on fill rates to minimize excess bag weightAssuring the quality of the material is acceptable i.e. color, size and shapeRetaining and recording all text samples for premium and pulling required preen samplesOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned as neededJob RequirementsExperience with lab and testing procedures preferredSome experience working in a manufacturing environment preferredSome mechanical aptitude or experience with production processing equipment preferredInterest in Horticulture or Gardening is a plusMust be detail-orientedMust be able to problem-solve, with a strong sense of goal attainmentGood housekeeping skills requiredHigh school degree required; Associates Degree preferredAbility to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions Adequate computer skillsLift objects weighing up to 50 pounds eachEndure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping and reachingStanding for extended period of timeAble to work under extreme conditions such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust and dirtWhat CRH Offers YouHighly competitive base payComprehensive medical, dental and disability benefits programsGroup retirement savings programHealth and wellness programsAn inclusive culture that values opportunity for growth, development, and internal promotion About CRHCRH has a long and proud heritage.
