Avionics Software Verification Engineer – DO-178C

Position SummarySeeking an Aerospace Software Verification Engineer to perform requirements-based testing and verification of embedded avionics software in compliance with DO-178B/C standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze software requirements and develop detailed verification test cases.Execute tests on target hardware and document results.Perform code-coverage analysis and maintain requirements traceability.Identify, report and track software defects through resolution.Prepare verification reports supporting aerospace certification.Collaborate with software and systems engineering teams.Required QualificationsDegree in a STEM discipline.Aerospace or avionics software verification experience.Strong knowledge of DO-178B/C and requirements-based testing.Experience with code coverage, traceability and target-hardware testing.Embedded C/C++ knowledge.Ability to work onsite in Rockford, IL.Preferred SkillsVerification Lead or Team Lead experience.DO-178C DAL A, B or C experience.DOORS and FAA/EASA certification experience.VectorCAST, LDRA or Cantata.MATLAB/Simulink, HIL testing, Jira and Git.
