In this role, you’ll work on a diverse portfolio of new bridge design and bridge rehabilitation projects supporting state and local transportation clients throughout Wisconsin and beyond.This opportunity is ideal for an engineer with several years of bridge design experience who enjoys solving technical challenges and wants continued exposure to complex transportation infrastructure work. You’ll collaborate with experienced bridge engineers and multidisciplinary teams on structural analysis, load rating, design calculations, plan development, and rehabilitation solutions for highway bridge projects.As part of Jacobs’ transportation team, you’ll gain experience across the full project lifecycle while continuing to build technical depth and project delivery skills. We offer the opportunity to work on challenging projects, expand your technical capabilities, and build a long-term career with a globally recognized engineering firm.If you’re looking for a role where you can continue growing as a bridge engineer while contributing to meaningful transportation projects, we’d love to connect.Here's what you'll need Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Minimum of 4 years’ professional design experience predominantly in bridges with a focus on DOT projects EIT certification with the ability to obtain a PE within 1 year Solid understanding of WisDOT practice, procedures, and standards Understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, and applicable Codes. Proficiency in bridge design software, such as LEAP Concrete/Bridge, AASHTOWare BrR, Larsa 4D, MIDAS Civil, and MDX Competency in bridge/highway CADD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, InRoads, Geopak, Open Roads Designer, and Open Bridge Designer Solid communication and writing skills including technical report writing Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software) Local to Madison, WIIdeally, you’ll also have Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering Active professional involvement in local engineering societies Design-Build project experienceOur health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
