Job Summary:We are seeking a Product Development Tech for our Brea, CA facility. This person contributes to the completion of routine technical tasks and develops solutions to routine technical problems of specified scope. Their contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals in the unit.Responsibilities:Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes.Produces engineering document, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams and schematics)Prepares reports and summaries, including quantitative analysisProvides completion of technical tasks.Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks.Helps scope equipment for use and complete qualificationsWorks with team to on general lab functions, including calibration, implementation of safety procedures, and routine equipment maintenanceNotifies manager or team lead upon recognition of factors that may affect projectHelps develop prototype processes and test set-upsExecutes designed test protocol and conducts testingEffectively documents and communicates test resultsHandles test samples and chemicals used for conditioning and testingRequirements:Minimum education requirement is high school diploma, experience in a lab environment (corporate or school) or technician experience in a regulated environment for a minimum of 6 yearsExperience following written procedures and working collaboratively with a teamPreferred requirement: Bachelor of Science in a technical area and at least 1 year of experience in a laboratory/R&D setting following written procedures and working collaboratively with a team.Preferred Requirement:Ability to understand and perform designed test proceduresThe ability to work effectively in a cross functional group and communicate effectively with the lab team and extended team membersDevelops solutions to routine technical problems of limited scopeProficiency in personal computersAbility to train lower-level technicians
