Project Developer or Senior Project Developer

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading renewable energy developer seeking a Project Developer to lead solar development projects in Illinois. This role will be central to building a strong pipeline and driving growth in the state. You’ll originate and execute projects, with a focus on community and distributed solar. Title and compensation will align with experience.Responsibilities:Originate, diligence, and acquire sites through greenfield and M&A opportunitiesSecure interconnection, permits, and offtake agreementsManage project budgets and optimize portfolio economicsBuild and maintain relationships with landowners, utilities, agencies, and community stakeholdersIdentify risks and develop mitigation strategiesQualifications:Bachelor’s degree (Master’s a plus)3–6 years in clean energy project development, ideally community/C&I solar and storageStrong financial modeling and project management skillsStrong permitting experience a plusProject sale/transaction experience a plusExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesProactive, detail-oriented, and accountable
