Status:FT - nightsPRN - as neededPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and the care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients servedPromotes customer service initiativesTelemetry responsibilitiesAssign telemetry as orderedProvides continuous observation of telemetry monitorsRecognizes any arrhythmiasDocuments monitor tracingAssists with trouble shooting telemetryCommunicates findings to nursing staff and physicians on a regular basisAnswers telephones and public inquiries appropriatelyProcesses orders/consults accuratelyConveys STAT orders to appropriate personnel immediatelyMaintains patient charts – identifies information/risk factors on chartMaintains par levels on supplies.Responds to call lights, directs request to appropriate staffAll other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED preferredCurrent BLS certification (or obtain prior to the completion of orientation)CPI/De-escalation training (obtain within 6 months)Completion of telemetry monitoring/arrhythmia trainingSuccessfully passes an arrhythmia interpretation examination annuallyBasic computer skillsGood communication skills
