Our best practices enhance performance and focus intensely on each facility's critical needs.About the roleCBH of VA is seeking a highly qualified Health Services Administrator, RN to oversee, facilitate, and manage the medical department at Calvert County Detention Center. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and efficient healthcare services within a correctional setting.What you'll doThe Health Services Administrator functions as a key liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and CBH of VA, supporting the day-to-day operations of healthcare services at the facility. This role assists in evaluating system performance to ensure alignment with CBH's goals, objectives, and philosophy, while maintaining compliance with accreditation standards and contractual requirements.Leadership & StaffingSupervise, coach, and evaluate staff, support hiring, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with OSHA and workplace safety standards.OperationsEnsure all staff maintain proper licensure and credentials.Oversee contractors, manage supplies/equipment, and improve operational efficiency.Complete required reports and monitor performance metrics.Patient Care OversightEnsure compliance with CBH policies and standards of care.Monitor high-risk patients, hospitalizations, and referrals for quality and cost-effectiveness.Lead quality improvement efforts, including infection control and patient concerns.Participate in on-call coverage and provide RN support as needed.Relationship ManagementServe as liaison between CBH, correctional staff, and external healthcare providers.Maintain strong relationships with facility leadership and community partners.Travel as needed; perform additional duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in nursing, health care administration or business administration preferred.Must have State RN Licensure.Experience in administration of ambulatory care servicesThree to five years of administrative/supervisory experienceStrong analytical and decision-making skillsExperience in short-term and long-term planning, budgeting and contractingBenefits:Dental insurance with a generous orthodontic creditVision insuranceCompany-paid life insurance and extensive ancillary coverage optionsPaid time offFlexible scheduleEmployee assistance program (EAP)Continuing education creditsTuition reimbursementReferral programTravel reimbursementSchedule:8-hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayOn callOvertimeWeekends as neededJob Type:Full-timeOn-site
