About the RoleCallahan & Fusco is continuing its strategic growth across the East Coast and is expanding its Connecticut-based litigation team as part of its broader New England presence. This role supports the firm’s regional practice, including high-volume matters in New York and opportunities across multiple jurisdictions, while offering the flexibility of a fully remote work environment.We are seeking associate attorneys with 2+ years of Connecticut insurance defense experience who are looking for meaningful litigation responsibility, manageable caseloads, and the opportunity to contribute to a growing regional practice.This is a hands-on litigation role offering real responsibility, direct client interaction, and substantive case management experience.Position OverviewThis role is designed for litigation attorneys who want active, substantive responsibility within a well-supported and collaborative remote team. As the firm continues to expand its Connecticut and New England footprint, we are strategically adding attorneys to strengthen our ability to serve clients throughout the region, while supporting high-volume litigation in New York.The ideal candidate has experience handling insurance defense matters in Connecticut courts and is comfortable managing cases with increasing independence in a remote environment. Attorneys with admission in additional jurisdictions, particularly New York or other New England states, will have the opportunity to work across a broader range of matters.In this position, you will:Conduct and defend depositions independentlyAppear in courts throughout Connecticut (in-person as required)Draft and argue substantive motionsManage cases from inception through resolutionParticipate in trial preparation and trial work as neededProvide strategic reporting and analysis directly to carrier clientsFrom time to time, attorneys may also respond to urgent or time-sensitive matters, including coordinating investigations with clients and experts.
