Personal Injury Case Manager

Smith & Weidinger, PLLC is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and client-focused Personal Injury Case Manager to join our team. This role is critical in managing personal injury cases from intake through resolution while supporting attorneys and maximizing client outcomes.The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of personal injury law and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while supporting attorneys in all aspects of case preparation and management. Candidates should have proven paralegal experience in personal injury law and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Compensation$60,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualificationsExpected HoursFull-time positionKey ResponsibilitiesCase Management & Legal SupportManage personal injury cases from start to finishSupport attorneys in core legal tasks, including:Discovery and insurance document reviewMedical record review and in-depth analysis of medical records and billsRequesting and organizing medical records and billingDrafting and sending correspondenceDrafting and filing pleadingsExhibit preparationBalance verificationTrial preparation and assistanceConduct monthly case reviews to ensure consistent case progressionReview and evaluate demand packages prior to submissionClient Communication & Relationship ManagementMeet regularly with clients and attorneys (in-person, virtual, and telephonic) to:Provide updates on treatment and case statusTrack recovery and ongoing careFoster and maintain excellent rapport with clients through consistent communicationVerify that all client injuries, damages, and losses are properly documented and presented to maximize recoverySubrogation, Insurance & Provider CoordinationScrutinize and negotiate subrogation and lien claims to maximize client net recoveryCorrespond regularly with medical providers and insurance adjustersVerify balances and resolve discrepancies related to medical billingQualificationsProven paralegal experience in personal injury law - Required3+ Years of Personal Injury Experience (preferably in a high-volume environment) required.Experience in pre-litigation and/or litigation settingsAbility to manage cases independently from intake through resolutionStrong understanding of medical records, billing, and damages analysisExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAdditional Preferred Skills & AttributesAbility to prioritize and manage a high-volume caseload efficientlyStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsExperience drafting demands, pleadings, and legal correspondenceAbility to identify case value drivers and maximize settlement potentialProficiency in case management software (Clio preferred)Experience working with Colorado personal injury procedures and rulesExperience working with Wyoming personal injury procedures and rules is a plusStrong deadline management and sense of urgencyAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamProfessional demeanor when dealing with clients, adjusters, and providersCommitment to client-centered advocacy and high-quality legal workWhat We OfferCompetitive salary ($60,000-$75,000 per year)Health insurance401(k) retirement planPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid sick timeFull-time, stable positionCollaborative and fast-paced team environmentOpportunity for professional growth and advancementMeaningful work advocating for injured clientsPay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid sick timePaid time offVision insuranceExperience:Personal injury law: 3 years (Required)Work Location: Hybrid remote near Fort Collins, CO 80524
