Sport Retail Account Manager's Mission:
The Sport Retail Account Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of our sales strategies for a portfolio of products to our sport retailer channel, including large format and specialty brick and mortar retailers. The primary focus is on advancing the inline and custom run, bike, and nutrition products through retail and US distributors, working with related buying groups and regional bike distributors in the US and Canada. This person will be the primary sales lead in these channels, and will also be accountable for networking, calling, and growing sales into additional distribution locations associated with these product categories.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary:
Manages all sales and business development activities related to Sport focused national and specialty retailers and Bike distributors.
Responsible for executing company plans and achieving company goals in the designated sales channels.
Sources and targets new customers and sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the company.
Works hand in hand and directs activity with HydraPak inside sales and customer experience, to execute the strategy and deliver the plan.
Manages and develops business in the US and Canada, creates weekly calling, and reporting structure for VP of sales.
Provides forecasts to the organization with a yearly and monthly breakdown and be accountable for achieving goals.
Visits top accounts annually and travels to regional and national trade shows as needed.
Collaborates with marketing to present a coordinated team to the industry and develop electronic assets for success to the online channel.
Collaborates closely with customer service to provide extraordinary service, dealer support, and personalized attention.
Oversees preseason sales program for spring and fall.
Develops and oversees the Company’s custom program with a focus on nutrition partners, bike organizations, and race organizers.
Effectively and knowledgeably presents product line both virtually and in person to new and existing accounts.
Utilizes both the company CRM/Sales Funnel and Customer B2B platforms to leverage their full potential to provide best ROI for both HydraPak and its customers.
Additional Responsibilities:
Other duties, general administrative support, and special projects as assigned.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum five years of sales or business development experience specifically within the outdoor industry, with demonstrated product and category expertise
Prior experience in Sport (Run or Bike) preferred.
Major account, independent specialty retailer, or US Bike distributors management desired.
Skills & Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Highly experienced with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to generate and manipulate pivot tables on the fly and draft presentations that convert the sale. Comfortable with all other MS Office and Google Business Suite products.
Comfortable with various CRM and ERP (Acumatica) systems.
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close, articulate all distinct aspects of company products and services.
Proven ability to position products against competitors.
Organized: You are reliably organized and manage a full plate without significant signs of stress.
Salary & Benefits:
This position is based in our Longmont, CO office. The typical work hours for this job are between 9am-5pm, Monday through Thursdays with remote work eligibility on Fridays. Pay range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually with up to 10% bonus potential. HydraPak offers up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in the first year of service, 12 paid holidays, a range of insurance benefits starting the first of the month following a 30-day waiting period, and a 401(k) plan (with company match) following a 90-day waiting period.
