Senior Buyer

Position OverviewThis role sits at the center of the company's procurement function, responsible for sourcing materials, subcontractor services, and equipment at the best possible value without sacrificing speed or quality. The right person owns the full buy cycle: from getting competitive bids out the door to cutting purchase orders and keeping the paper trail clean.What You'll Be DoingDrafting and issuing RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs to qualified vendors; managing the response and evaluation processActively sourcing and vetting suppliers to make sure the company is getting competitive pricing and not leaving money on the tableNegotiating terms, pricing, and lead times directly with vendorsOnboarding and qualifying new vendors, walking them through company requirements and approval workflowsServing as a resource and informal mentor to junior procurement staffWhat We're Looking For5+ years in a purchasing or procurement role, with at least 3 of those in constructionSolid command of procurement best practices and sourcing strategyProven ability to negotiate and close favorable vendor agreementsFamiliarity with construction-specific procurement, including subcontracts and material buyoutsProficiency in Microsoft Office and an ERP systemClear, professional communicator, both written and verbalAble to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball on detailsSharp analytical instincts and a problem-solving mindset
