Located in Portland, OR, our team is passionate about building and maintaining systems that enable seamless connectivity.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR, for a Crew Foreman. The Crew Foreman will oversee daily construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. The role includes running your own truck, managing the use of heavy equipment, overseeing preventive maintenance, and coordinating tasks related to telecommunications infrastructure. Effective communication and a strong emphasis on safety will be essential.QualificationsSupervisory Skills, including team leadership and task delegationProficiency with Heavy Equipment and related safety protocolsStrong Communication skills to coordinate with team members and project stakeholdersKnowledge of Preventive Maintenance processes and practicesExperience with Electrical Wiring and related technical expertiseAbility to work effectively in physically demanding environmentsFamiliarity with telecommunications infrastructure is a plusHigh school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are beneficialPreferred qualificationsPrevious construction experience, preferably in the telecommunication industry.Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash and strand construction)Ability to travel.Working ConditionsThis is a full-time hourly position, expected to work at least 40 hours per week. This position operates in an outdoor environment and is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including; extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and high wind. The outside work environment will very throughout the day including changes in terrain, traffic, urban settings, and/or rural settings. This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.Physical RequirementsTasks involve the intermittent performance of physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-75 pounds). Intermittent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of heavier objects (100+ pounds) and getting in and out of a truck several times a day. Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours at a time), tolerate work in extreme weather conditions, speak and hear worksite safety instructions, withstand prolonged and repeated: lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling, crouching, and crawling. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
