Relief position.Qualifications* 2 Years of cook experience* Valid Government issued identificationPreferred Qualifications* Hospital setting* Skilled NursingResponsibilities* Food preparation for both patient dining & retail service: Safely and efficiently prepare hot & cold food while following regulatory standards & following all food safety requirements.** Must have or be willing to obtain food handles card for Riverside County. Sersafe certification preferred.* Understand & populate all regulatory logs: Tracking food temperatures & time temperature control requirements. Monitor equipment including, but not limited to refrigerators, stove, ovens, etc.* Food safety standards: Follow standards to ensure food is safely prepared. Ensure food cool down procedures are followed. Understand food safety regarding cross contamination.* Recipes: Be able to read & execute standardized recipes. Must be able to read & speak English* Stocking and Inventory Control: Regularly check and restock food and beverage supplies in storage areas and kitchenettes, maintaining adequate inventory levels to meet patient needs.* Safety & sanitation: Understand safe cleaning & sanitation requirements for food preparation & station sanitation.* Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.* Cleaning and Sanitization: Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department.
