Job DescriptionJob Title: Millwright SupervisorLocation: Kansas City, KS (Working in the De Soto, Olathe, Kansas Area)Job Type: Full-TimePay Rate: $32-$36 per hour (Depending on Experience)Per Diem: $110 per day (must meet requirements)Schedule: 45-55 hours per week, some Saturdays requiredPosition Overview:We are seeking an experienced Millwright Supervisor to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems. This position requires strong leadership skills, advanced mechanical knowledge, and the ability to oversee crews while ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet safety and quality standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:All employees must follow all safety and quality procedures to ensure a safe work environment and the production of high-quality results.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and technical drawings in industrial environmentsPerform precision alignments on motors, gearboxes, rollers, and other mechanical equipmentInstall and maintain conveyor systems and related mechanical componentsOperate mobile equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and cranes safely and efficientlyManage and coordinate crew tasks to ensure project timelines and completion dates are metWeld and use cutting torches to fabricate, modify, or repair metal components as neededUse precision instruments to measure, align, and adjust equipment for proper installation and performanceUtilize power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders for installation and repair workUse standard and metric hand tools including wrenches, sockets, allen keys, and tapsTroubleshoot mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain project schedulesEnforce all safety regulations and company standards on job sitesExperience, Qualifications, and Key Competencies:OSHA 10-30-Hour Construction Certification requiredMinimum 4+ years of Millwright supervisory experience strongly preferredMinimum 6+ years of hands-on Millwright experience requiredRigging experience requiredExperience with heavy equipment installation and removal in Autostore or EV battery facilities is highly desirableMust pass pre-employment drug screeningTechnical Skills:Advanced mechanical knowledge of machinery installation and mechanical systemsPrecision installation and alignment of industrial machineryStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilitiesExperience operating cranes, hoists, forklifts, and other heavy equipmentWelding, cutting, and metal fabrication skillsExperience working with structural and mechanical installations including conveyors, pumps, and industrial systemsKnowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systemsLeadership & Project Skills:Proven ability to supervise and lead millwright crewsAbility to manage project schedules, materials, and resourcesStrong safety awareness and hazard identification skillsExcellent communication and coordination with crews, contractors, and clientsAbility to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and productivityAdditional Information:The above statements describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
