Accountant I
Job DescriptionThe Financial Accountant will prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, credit card analysis, and account reviews. The Financial Accountant will serve as backup to other team members in the accounting group, as needed, and will be a well-rounded financial and accounting professional.Entering financial data and transactions into the general ledgerPreparing monthly journal entriesReconciling balance sheet accounts on a monthly/quarterly basisEnsuring control policies are followedAccount analysis as neededCredit card analysis and recording in general ledgerSupport accounts payable and accounts receivable functionsAssist in month-end and year-end closing processesCollaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issuesPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration2-3 years experience in accounting or finance positionThorough understanding of accounting proceduresThorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Preferred Education & ExperienceExperience in the manufacturing industry, preferred.CompetenciesDetail oriented.Highly motivated.Flexibility.Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.Collaboration Skills.Self-Starter.Time Management.Effective use of Excel, QuickBooksAbility to ask for help/assistance.Intellectually curious.Benefits And Compensation SummaryWe take care of our people.
