KVC Missouri Ozark Family Resource Center - Emergency Shelter: Springfield, MOCompensation: $17-$20.65 per hour, based on experience and education.Join our team with full-time and part-time opportunities available!Job Summary:The Youth Care Specialist is responsible for tending to the physical and emotional needs of children and youth residing in the Ozark Family Resource Center - Emergency Shelter. The YCS fosters a supportive and safe group living environment, ensuring that all clients receive the care and attention they need during their stay.Job SummaryProvide for the physical and emotional needs of clients, including:Provide daily supervision and care to children and youth in the shelter.Attend to the physical needs of clients, including meals, hygiene, and healthcare requirements.Offer emotional support, helping clients manage stress and trauma.Facilitate a healthy group living experience:Creating a positive and supportive environmentMaintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment within the shelter.Ensure adherence to shelter rules and policies, addressing any behavioral issues with appropriate interventionsQualifications:High school diploma or GED equivalencyClass E driver's license with good driving recordStrong customer service focusExcellent time managementOral and written communication skillsWord, Excel, and e-mail applications proficiencyWhy KVC?KVC is a nonprofit child placing and behavioral health agency with a long legacy of compassionately serving children and families.
