Operators are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery or equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production.Key Responsibilities Operators manage machinery, equipment, or production processes to maintain smooth operations. Typical duties include: Setting up and adjusting machines to start production cycles and maintain proper operation Monitoring machine performance to ensure products meet quality specifications and production targets Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs, calling technicians for complex issues Inspecting parts and products using precision tools to ensure compliance with specifications Recording production data and maintaining accurate logs for reporting purposes Following safety protocols to maintain a safe and clean work environment Collaborating with team members and reporting to supervisors or production. Skill & qualifications Technical skills to operate and maintain various machines, including mechanical and computer-operated equipment Attention to detail for quality control and precise operation. Problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot machine issues efficiently Physical stamina and strength, as the role often requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs Basic math skills to compute rates, ratios, and measurements Ability to read, written and interpret manuals, blueprints, and safety instructions Good communication skills for effective teamwork and reporting Assemble components accurately following detailed work instructions and lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency. Work Environment Operators usually work in manufacturing plants, factories, or processing facilities. The role may involve shift work, overtime, and exposure to industrial machinery.
